TELES Announces New Session Border Controller
Session border controllers (SBCs) are one of the most important parts of running a successful VoIP phone system through your company. TELES (News - Alert) has announced a new SBC that is geared towards bringing network operators a network that is well shielded from outside attacks. TELES has actually upgraded its softswitch portfolio so that it now has a more efficient SBC that its clients can lean on to give them the kind of protection they often expect.
"With the conversion to modern, high-performance IP networks, there is a growing demand among operators for components which guard and effectively shield the network, and provide defense against attacks and unauthorized access," said Oliver Olbrich, chief operating officer at TELES. "With our new session border controller we have developed a highly effective instrument to ensure that network operators can convert to IP without worry."
The secret recipe when it comes to this particular SBC is that it is far more intuitive with its configuration and operation. That means that clients who take this solution “out of the box” will be able to figure it out and use it rather easily. As the company points out, even the top of the line SBCs aren’t going to be of much use to their owners if they cannot figure out how to use the solution.
When businesses make the move to VoIP systems, there are usually a couple of different reasons for that move, including security. Ease of use, especially when talking about multiple services comes in a very close second to security. The entire VoIP system can’t be all that easy to use, if the SBC is something that is too hard to figure out for a company’s IT staff or manager.
The TELES SBC is also geared so that it can adjust to a company’s blueprints of its network. This makes it something that will work out of the box very easily. A company is also not going to make the move to VoIP if they feel they have to hire a computer expert to establish their network.
