Vitelity, Xorcom Partner to Deliver Interoprable VoIP Solutions
When key technology partnerships happen, they ensure steady growth for any PBX (News - Alert) manufacturer or SIP trunking provider aiming move forward in the telecommunications industry. It comes as no surprise then that SIP provider Vitelity completed interoperability testing and certification of its trunk services with the Xorcom (News - Alert) IP PBX offerings.
“The successful interoperability testing between Vitelity SIP trunking services and Xorcom IP PBXs is not only beneficial to our mutual growth, it is also an excellent example of our collaborative efforts that will result in top-notch VoIP solutions for our customers," said Bill Soto, CEO, Xorcom USA.
Xorcom’s business telephony solutions support both traditional PSTN and VoIP communication and are based on the Asterisk (News - Alert) open source platform, making them easy to install and maintain, as well as cost-effective. Vitelity, meanwhile, boasts one of the nation’s largest and reliable VoIP networks to service providers worldwide.
Presumably, the aim of the partnership was to simplify the configuration of Xorcom's IP PBX products when they are deployed on Vitelity SIP Trunking endpoints, as the two companies have developed a simple configuration tool to enable integrators deploy the Vitelity/Xorcom solution quickly and easily.
Pleased with the partnership, Kerry Garrison (News - Alert), vice president of strategic services at Vitelity explained that customers who are looking for a reliable IP PBX solution with SIP trunking now have a readymade working solution that is jointly supported, providing them with more options.
While deploying SIP trunking does pave the way for the latest real-time communications enhancements, the primary reason for most organizations is “immediate and substantial cost savings,” something that is very likely to take place, given the respective capabilities of the Xorcom and Vitelity.
That Vitelity currently maintains a five-star rating from VoipReview.org, an "A" rating with the Better Business Bureau, and IT Expo's most innovative new product award from 2009 and 2010 is certainly promising for the company. The fact that Xorcom’s open source based business telephony solutions received the “Best of Show” award in the Open Source category at TMC’s (News - Alert) recent ITEXPO East 2011 and 2012 is even more heartening.
