GLOBALINX 'Talks to Me' about Trends, the Cloud and ITEXPO Miami 2013

Touted as a VoIP service provider that matches its next generation services with an even higher level of customer service, GLOBALINX provides a robust portfolio that encompasses wholesale services, business services and residential services alike. Whether you are looking to measure up to increasing customer demands and supply these clients with telecom services or you are just looking to start a business and need a reliable and intuitive platform that will keep you connected with employees and consumers, the company has multiple options that can go above and beyond the needs of virtually any company.

Kevin Bartnicki, director of Wholesale Sales, GLOBALINX, recently sat down for an exclusive interview with TMCnet where he said that currently, “The most significant technology trend impacting the way businesses conduct operations today is cloud technologies. It’s changing our plans for specific new innovations and products for 2013. We are now looking at implementing cloud-based services where as early on in 2012 that might not have been the focus.”

While cloud technologies are still new and costly, it forces everyone to stop and ultimately decide the specific path they are going to take that will most advantageous to their enterprise. While this is not a bad disruption, it may take some decision makers longer than others figure out how they are going to structure their networks.

And as the VoIP service provider continues to transition to the cloud, it is fully aware that certain security-related obstacles may arise due to the fact that no two criminals are alike. So, while Bartnicki believes that a majority of security measures at this time are theories rather than actual fixes, the cloud has a long way to go yet is showing signs of progress.

Social media is another avenue causing many changes to occur within businesses throughout every industry. Platforms such as Facebook and Twitter (News - Alert) let people receive assistance in a much timelier manner but if they feel that they are wronged by a company, this communication channel gives them a voice and enables them to make their true feelings known to the public without delay.

GLOBALINX realizes the validity of media being leveraged as a communication, marketing and sales tool as well as how important the overall customer experience is. In fact, all of its departments utilize a form of social media to interact with colleagues and customers and this has become part of the organization’s daily routine. Further, the firm is always on the lookout for new ways to drive overall customer satisfaction.

While social media and the cloud are growing by the day, unified communications and VoIP are surging in popularity as well.

According to Bartnicki, “I think mobility is the largest game changer as everyone now has multiple devices and a quick means to access information. However, this technology has a ways to go.” Video in particular has tons of room to grow and the “creation and manipulation of video apps and devices is still being perfected. This will start to gain more of a market share as the technology improves and costs come down,” he added.

To see first hand how implementing VoIP can benefit any sized business, be sure to stop by ITEXPO (News - Alert) Miami 2013 taking place from January 29th to February 1st in Miami, Fla. where GLOBALINX will be exhibiting its suite of solutions in booth # 410. “I am most looking forward to seeing new innovations, meeting with new and existing colleagues to review the GLOBALINX wholesale partner program and highlighting our hosted program at ITEXPO Miami 2013,” Bartnicki concluded.

If you wish to get a glowing tan while simultaneously enjoying some extremely enlightening sessions that discuss everything now taking place in the technology space, pack your bags and make your way to good ol’ Miami next week!

The Evolution of Session Border Control
Session Border Controllers have come a long way since they were first conceived in the early 2000s as a simple, security-focused element. As service providers and enterprises began deploying more advanced real-time applications over IP-including Unified Communications, video, instant messaging, and conferencing-the burden on SBCs grew in step.
