At its annual Global Partner Conference in Las Vegas, Juniper Networks, a key player in the computer networking space and a strong Cisco (News

Launched at last year’s conference, the Partner Advantage program now includes more than 12,000 partners, and was designed to enable partners to deliver a range of value-added services across the entire infrastructure for improved efficiency, incremental revenue and unmatched customer loyalty.
The recent enhancements are limited to the areas of cloud infrastructure and associated support, maintenance and professional partner services.
The revamped program, scheduled to be rolled out throughout the year and fully operational by the end of 2013, now includes two additional sub-programs: Partner Advantage Service and Partner Advantage Cloud. The initiative is aimed at enabling the partners to quickly bring several high-performance cloud-ready solutions to market.
The new arrangement is expected to drive competition among the partners, yielding improved products and services for the end customers.
The enhancements reflect the company’s strategy to acknowledge partner cloud service and infrastructure capabilities. Partners are encouraged to leverage Juniper technology to create cloud-ready bundles that are easy to deploy and manage.
To this end, all are provided with relevant assets, tools and resources.
Partner Advantage Services is divided into two specific groups – Partner Support Services and Partner Professional Services.
The first will focus on support and maintenance services for Juniper offerings throughout the infrastructure lifecycle. Later this year, four new troubleshooting services will be launched to include service provider routing, enterprise routing, enterprise switching and security.
Under its Partner Professional Services, Juniper will focus on validating partners' professional services capabilities. To this end, the company will share its professional services assessments, designs and implementation guides. Partners will have the opportunity to work as a vital part of Juniper team.
The arrangement reflects Juniper’s strong intent on promoting its partners to the customers and helping them grow their profits.
All partners are allowed to choose from several enablements, including marketing, financing and rewards options. One such option allows members to utilize the company’s Cloud Innovation Fund and Marketing Development Funds to create Juniper-based cloud infrastructure and solutions.
“Last year at the Global Partner Conference, Juniper Networks (News

Throughout 2012, our partners have leveraged the program to enhance their value and drive profitability through new opportunities with their customers. Today's expansion of our Partner Advantage program to include Services and Cloud will arm our partners with integrated, value-add programs and tools that capitalize on these massive market opportunities and can help drive their long-term success within the network,” senior vice president at Juniper Networks Emilio Umeoka commented in a statement.
Also in its partner conference, the company introduced its SDN strategy, which is expected to allow companies to accelerate the design and delivery of new services, lower the cost of network operation, and provide a clear path to implementation.
