Acme Packet Diameter Director Deployed by BICS to Scale its Global LTE Roaming Services

BICS, a global provider of international carrier services, has now deployed Acme Packet (News - Alert) Diameter signaling controller solutions, to maintain its lead with cutting-edge LTE roaming services. BICS will be using Acme’s flexible Diameter signaling controllers to support its next-generation Long Term Evolution (LTE (News - Alert)) data and voice roaming exchange services globally.


Acme Packet addresses all security and control functions for SIP and Diameter, accelerates Time-to market, reduces complexity and cost-efficiently proves to be a comprehensive LTE roaming solution.

The implementation of Acme’s flexible Diameter signaling controllers builds upon existing Acme Packet Net-Net Session Director installation in BICS's IP eXchange (IPX) service to manage SIP interconnects efficiently. The solution enables BICS to offer flexible IP based voice, video and data exchange to its customers without compromising on service availability or quality in any way.

The comprehensive performance management simplifies service level agreement monitoring and network planning.
