SIP-based unified communications are more popular than ever these days, with both large enterprises and smaller businesses leveraging the technology to enable cost savings and better connections among employees and customers. One leader in this space is Sonus Networks (News - Alert), which offers a full-featured line of session border controllers as part of its unified communications portfolio.

As part of the company’s leadership in the space, representatives from Sonus will take part in several upcoming investment conferences in the month of November.

First, Ray Dolan, the chief executive officer of the company, and Moe Castonguay, the company’s chief financial officer, will present at the UBS Global Technology (News - Alert) Conference in New York City on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

Then, two weeks later, Dolan and Castonguay will be presenting at the Credit Suisse Annual Technology Conference in Scottsdale, AZ on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 11:30 a.m. Pacific Time.

For people who cannot attend either event, the presentations will be shown live on the Sonus Networks website. They will also be archived on the site for 60 days.

Dolan was one of the keynote speakers at ITEXPO (News - Alert) Austin, which was held in October of this year. In his speech, the CEO of Sonus explained how to unify unified communications, pointing to four trends that will shape the market for years to come: new media, the bring-your-own-device trend, big data and the cloud. Because of these factors, Dolan sees Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) (SIP) as the technology that will define the future of business communications.
