Sonus Expands the Roles of Executive Officers

Todd A. Abbott and Jeffrey M. Snider have been promoted to EVP of Strategy & Go-To-Market and SVP, CAO and general counsel, respectively in Sonus Networks (News - Alert) (SONS), a company specializing in SIP communications.  


With Sonus Networks’ rapid and strong growth, Todd A. Abbott (appointed as EVP of Strategy & Go-To-Market) and Jeffrey M. Snider’s (CEO) expertise and leadership will prove to be crucial for the company’s future.  

Abbott started working for Sonus in May 2011,  and will add business unit planning and execution responsibilities to his current role guiding sales, marketing and business development.

Since joining, Abbott worked with the market transformation of Sonus, including the move into the enterprise segment and the company’s first channel activation program, Sonus Partner Assure.

In a statement, Ray Dolan, president and CEO of Sonus Networks said, “These appointments reflect another step in the transformation of Sonus to become an enabler of Cloud-based Unified Communications, Todd Abbott (News - Alert) has been a catalyst for change since joining Sonus and this appointment reflects his ability to orchestrate our end-to-end go-to-market proposition and execution. Earlier, Snider has worked as SVP, General Counsel and Secretary of Sonus since June 2009. Now with the additional responsibility of the CAO functionality, Snider’s role expands to include oversight of human resources as well as facilities management. Recently, Snider helped the company acquire Network Equipment Technologies (News - Alert).
