OEM vendor and service providers looking out for cloud-based e-mail Security-as-a-Service (SecaaS) now have the option to pick the Commtouch’s (News - Alert) On-Premise Email Security services that includes Anti-spam, Virus Outbreak Detection, IP Reputation, and AV features.

Commtouch Email Security On-Premise services enable service providers, offering e-mail functionality, to improve e-mail Quality of Service (QoS) and reduce their infrastructure and support costs.

Additionally, this On-Premise solution offers virtually unlimited scalability, and is ideal for service providers of any size. It is extremely resource-efficient and requires no maintenance whatsoever. The solution combines the highest degree of e-mail security with minimum system load and optimum cost-efficiency, according to the company.

Speaking on this occasion, Shlomi Yanai, CEO of Commtouch, said that this launch of Commtouch On-Premise Email Security for security providers further expands its worldwide opportunity for growth.

"This new service continues the transformation of Commtouch from a vendor of security technology components and cloud-assisted detection services, to a Security-as-a-Service supplier that can provide partners with options to greatly lower cost, simplify ownership, and maximize performance for email. Commtouch On-Premise Email Security offers market-proven benefits for service providers desiring the highest level of email security without the ever-increasing expense typically associated with achieving it," Yanai added.

Commtouch recently acquired eleven GmbH in Berlin, Germany and this acquisition was done in a move to make Commtouch's security Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert) (News - Alert)) portfolio more complete, attracting OEMs and service providers as potential customers.

With this acquisition, Commtouch has been able to incorporate eleven GmbH’s e-mail security technology assets to its On-Premise Email Security services. These assets are in use at leading service providers such as 1&1 (News - Alert), T-Online, Telefónica Deutschland, O2, GMX, and freenet.
